About PlayAble
PlayAble is a free, publicly accessible web tool that helps parents, carers, and disabled people find accessible play parks across Scotland.
The tool presents curated accessibility data — sourced from Scottish local authorities — in a format designed for people trying to make informed decisions about where to take children with disabilities or additional needs.
Who runs this?
PlayAble is a public benefit project operated by Braw Data. It is not commercial. There is no paywall, no account requirement, and no advertising.
How does it work?
Accessibility data is sourced and curated by Braw Data, primarily through direct engagement with Scottish local authorities. Data quality and completeness varies by council and improves over time.
Each park record shows which accessible features are confirmed present, confirmed absent, or unknown. This three-way distinction is important — "not known" is different from "not available".
